Why we should get rid of school uniforms. Many people have different views on school uniforms. We should get rid of school uniforms because they limit creativity and expression. It may cause them to not feel unique and special. Creativity and self-expression are very important to students and should not be taken away. That is a few reasons why a dress code would work better.
One reason we should get rid of school uniforms and replace them with dress codes is because uniforms limit the creativity an self-expression of students. When students always have to wear the same clothing they can’t express themselves. The students may not look or feel unique wearing the same thing as everyone else.
Another reason is because the students may not feel as though they are unique or special wearing the same thing. They may feel dull and boring. I know if I had a school uniform I’d dread having to wear the same thing everyday. I would feel like just one in the crowd. I would not be motivated not looking or feeling unique.
Final reason is because dress codes work just as well and probably better than school uniforms. Not only do they let kids express themselves while still being appropriately dressed. One reason people like school uniforms is because it makes sure no one gets bullied for their outfit. Instead of getting rid of the creativity teach the bullies to stop. This both pleases staff with students appropriately dressed and lets the students express creativity.
